Run for the Children

About the Run

OUR PURPOSE
The purpose of Run For the Children is to empower children to have hope, healing, and know that they are cherished. Participants, Sponsors and Volunteers of Run For The Children are part of the driving force to reduce the number of child victims we see in our community.

Every year, hundreds of children in North Central Texas experience pain, loss, fear, and despair. Whether those emotions are caused by accidental or intentional forces, these children are victims of terrible circumstances.

THESE CHILDREN ARE WHY WE RUN
Participants, Sponsors, and Volunteers of Run For The Children are part of a driving force to reduce the amount of child victims we see in our community. We run to say “no more”! We run to educate. We run to provide hope for hurting children and to let them know that someone cares.

Proceeds from Run For The Children benefit Virginia’s House-A Family Resource Center and its satellite office, Dr.Goodall’s House, in Breckenridge. The mission of Virginia’s House is to meet the needs of abused, neglected and traumatized children through the programs of prevention, intervention, education and advocacy. The Center has several support programs including CAC (Children’s Advocacy Center), CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate), Prevention Programs, Crime Victim’s Assistance, and Mentor Programs in partnership with Graham ISD and Breckenridge ISD.  Virginia’s House serves Young, Stephens, and Throckmorton Counties.

HELP US MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIFE OF A CHILD.
